Patients with Health insurance

If you have private healthcare insurance please check with your insurer whether a GP referral letter is required before you attend the appointment.

I am registered with all of the main private healthcare insurance providers.

Please note that ultimate responsibility for payment rests with you. Should any insurance claim be declined then you will be required to pay the outstanding balance.

Patients who are Self-funding

A GP referral letter will be helpful but is not essential. Please ensure you bring a method of payment on the day: credit/debit cards or cash payments are accepted.

On arrival

Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment.

Please bring any relevant medical correspondence, test results and your child’s birth and immunisation record (“the Red Book”) with you if possible.

The hospital will ask for an imprint of your credit card in case any tests are required. Please note that my consultation fees are billed separately.

How long are appointments

New patient appointments are 30 minutes, but complex consultations may require longer.

Follow-up appointments are 15 minutes.

PLEASE NOTE, My professional consultation fee does not include the cost of tests, prescriptions or vaccines - which you will need to settle directly with the Hospital or Pharmacy.
A prolonged or complex consultation which necessitates additional work may incur an extra charge.

Tests

If any tests, xrays or scans are undertaken you will be asked to pay the hospital directly.

Follow up

I will send a letter to you and to your GP with a record of what we discussed so that everyone is kept up to date.

Cancellation

If you have confirmed an appointment and are not able to attend, please provide at least 24 hours notice by email or phone.

With less notice I may not able to re-allocate your slot to another patient and you will then be charged a cancellation fee of £75.

Home visits

I can also see your child at a location in Hale at a convenient time outside of my Alexandra and Spire clinics. I may also be able to provide home visits.
